Emma was fresh air, clearing out the stale stench in a brain that had long been shut off to all things creative and new. Ethan got up and rooted through his bags until he found his laptop. Taking a cleansing breath, he began to write.

Being in her presence woke something long dormant in his soul. The way her long hair brushed against her cheek, or how her eyes lit up as they found common ground—it was all sheer perfection.

Emma stole a glance in his direction, tugging on her hair as she was prone to do when she was nervous. Her smile was tentative; she was wary of his intentions. He understood how she felt. She was a wilted flower, abused by the glaring sun, when she deserved to be protected and shielded from the dangerous elements. Ethan ached to touch her. But given the chance to hold her, he was positive that he would latch on with such force and certainty that never again would he let her go.

Emma was an angel walking among undeserving humans. If she were his, he’d never let another bad thing happen to her again.

The words on the screen weren’t perfect prose. He could do better on a second pass, but it was a start. Emma was the spark that lit a flame in Ethan that he thought had died years ago. Should he call her and tell her that, for the first time in years, he actually wanted to write?

Picking up his phone, Ethan’s thumb hovered above the screen. His pulse raced as if he’d been doing sprints on a treadmill after drinking ten Red Bulls.

*Old flames burn hotter the second time around…*

It’s been four long years since McCrea Coldiron watched Eleanor Mackenna
walk out of his life. He wasn’t ready for the marriage noose then and never
thought he would be. Single, free to do as he pleases, and running the
Promise Point Horse Rescue Ranch are the things that make him sure he was
right to let Eleanor go… This is until she comes back to town with a
daughter he never knew about in tow.

Eleanor knows just how badly McCrea can burn a woman and how persuasive
he can be when he wants something, so she’s more than cautious about
his charming words and cocky grin when she comes home to arrange the
sale of her grandparents’ ranch. But when a flat tire in a thunderstorm
introduces four-year-old Sophie to her daddy, Eleanor knows McCrea’s love
for his daughter is genuine. Can she trust it will be the same for her? As
the icy walls around her heart begin to melt, Eleanor must find the courage
to trust her heart or run away from the man who has always owned it.

Being shown what he lost is a wake-up call for McCrea and he isn’t about to
let Eleanor or Sophie walk away. It’s time to prove he’s a man who believes
in love and happy-ever-after.

Letting Go by Rhonda Lee Carver

Hi everyone its lovereadingdk and today I am blogging about a very special story!

Hell Yeah! Letting Go!

Brooke has had quite a tragedy and never thought anyone would understand or love her! She blamed herself when it really wasn’t her fault but I think a lot of us do that in our life when something happens! So, true to lifes ups and downs. This story is a great example how when you least expect it you may find love and that someone will understand what your going through and support you even though they have there own issues to tend with! Tuff has issues of his own he is facing which makes his life complicated! This story can make you laugh and cry at the same time! Buy this book and see what a wonderful author Rhonda Lee Carver can be! You will not be disappointed I wasn’t and I couldn’t put the book down!

Here are some questions and answers I asked Rhonda that I thought would be interesting to know:

1. What made you want to start writing? When I was 13 I read a romance novel from Harlequin and Imwas hooked. I loved the idea of Romance, fantasy, soul mates and wanted to bring my own stories alive.

2. What’s the hardest thing about writing for you? The idea of failure. When one book doesn’t have the huge release as we might have expected, or hoped it would. Or, the reviews don’t pour in as wished. A drop in sale, no matter how insignificant. As an author I strive to make readers happy.

4. How long have you been writing? Published in 2010. Full-Time since 2014.

5. Where do you get your inspiration when writing a book? A word someone has used. An action I see. A movie. Two people having a conversation. Many, many ways.

6. What do you think makes a good story? If you write from the heart, where can you go wrong?

7. What do you do when you’re not writing? Spend time with my family, paint, Walk the trails.

Skin Deep

Hi  I am blogging today about Skin Deep! What a wonderful Story! If you love firefighters and cops this is a story you won’t be able to put down! When I read this there were so many twists and turns with each of these characters this was definitely  a love hate relationship! When you read this you will be amazed all the trouble they got themselves into together but stuck it out till the end to only find out they had more in common then they ever imagined! Please buy this book and see what happens to the firefighter and the lady cop! It’s amazing! But, the reason it’s so great is the awesome author Kimberly Kincaid!

Kimberly Kincaid writes contemporary romance that splits the difference between sexy and sweet and hot and edgy romantic suspense. When she’s not sitting cross-legged in an ancient desk chair known as “The Pleather Bomber”, she can be found practicing obscene amounts of yoga, whipping up anything from enchiladas to eclairs in her kitchen, or curled up with her nose in a book. Kimberly is a USA Today best-selling author and a 2016 and 2015 RWA RITA finalist and 2014 Bookseller’s Best nominee who lives (writes!) by the mantra that food is love. Kimberly resides in Virginia with her wildly patient husband and their three daughters.

So, check Kimberly Kincaid’s story out and I am sure it will be something you will want to read!

I am saying goodbye for now and read a book today!
